dc.description	This article develops the background of the accreditation process of the Faculty of Law of the University of Costa Rica. The previous stages and the first attempts at self-evaluation and self-regulation, as well as the beginning of the path of accreditation (which was acquired in 2015) are described. Thus, efforts to achieve accreditation have become a positive action taken by the various authorities of the School for several years, until finally this objective was achieved.	en-US
dc.description	En el presente artículo se desarrollan los antecedentes del proceso de acreditación de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Se describen las etapas previas y los primeros intentos de autoevaluación y auto-regulación, así como el comienzo del camino de la acreditación, la cual fue obtenida en el 2015. Así pues, los esfuerzos para lograr acreditarse se han convertido en una acción positiva desplegada por las diferentes autoridades de la Facultad desde hace ya varios años, hasta que finalmente dicho objetivo fue alcanzado	es-ES
