dc.descriptionLa aplicación intensa del modelo neoliberal por toda América Latina a partir de la décadade los 80, ha traído consigo grandes transformaciones en sus estructuras sociales con una evidente expresión espacial en la ciudad, entre ellas, la emergencia de las urbanizaciones cerradas como hito inmobiliario de las elites de los países de la región. El presente artículo muestra el estudio del estado de esta nueva forma urbana en Costa Rica y los impactos que esta ha producido sobre la ciudad abierta.es-ES
