Evaluación de distancias de siembra en cuatro cultivares de frijol común (Phaseolus vulgaris)

Abstract

En Grecia, Costa Rica, se evaluaron tres distancias entre hileras (0,30; 0,45 y 0,60 m) y tres distancias entre plantas (0,70; 0,80 y 0,09 m) que generaron poblaciones de 185.000 a 476.000 plantas/ha en cuatro cultivares de frijol. Se encontró efecto lineal negativo (P≤0,01) de las distancias entre hileras sobre el rendimiento, pero las distancias entre plantas no afectaron esta variable. El número de semillas por vaina y peso de 100 semillas no se modificó por el efecto de las distancias entre hileras (efecto lineal positivo P≤0,01). La producción fue estadísticamente igual para los cultivares: Porrillo Sintético, ICA Pijado y Talamanca con rendimientos promedio de 2589; 2442 y 2424 kg/ha, respectivamente y superior al México 80-R (2170 kg/ha).

Three distances between rows (0.30, 0.45 and 0.60 m) and three distances between plants (0.07, 0.08 and 0.09 m), which resulted in populations from 185.000 to 476.000 plants/ha of four cultivrs of common bean were evaluated in Grecia, Costa Rica. A negative lineal effect of the distances between rows on yield was found (P≤0.01). Distances between plants did not affect this variable. The number of seeds per pod and the weigth of 100 seeds were not modified by the effect of the distances between rows and plants. Only the number of pods varied by the distances between rows (positive lineal effect P≤0.01). The yield was statistically the same for the cultivrs: Porrillo sintetico, ICA Pijao and Talamanca with average yields of 2589, 2542 and 2424 kg/ha, respectively, and higher than México 80-R (2170 kg/ha)
