Cuerpos, géneros, subjetividades: Reflexiones en torno a la retrospectiva del artista José Miguel Rojas

Abstract

El presente ensayo corresponde a una ponencia presentada en la conferencia Identidades de género en arte, organizada por los Museos del Banco Central de Costa Rica, como parte de las actividades llevadas a cabo en el marco de la presentación curatorial del trabajo del artista costarricense José Miguel Rojas González, durante el año 2014. Este texto desarrolla algunas reflexiones teóricas acerca del género y la subjetividad, a la luz del acercamiento figurativo entorno a la corporalidad presente en el trabajo artístico de Rojas.

This essay corresponds to a paper delivered at the conference Gender identities in the art, organized by the Central Bank Museums of Costa Rica as a part of the activities fulfilled within the framework of the curatorial presentation of the work of the Costa Rican artist José Miguel Rojas González, during the year 2014. The present text develops some theoretical reflections about gender and subjectivity in the light of the figurative approach to corporeality in the artistic work of Rojas.
