2020 was the year that the pandemic began, and this year marked a significant precedent for humanity. During the time of the pandemic, it was possible to determine needs that only when facing a pandemic of such this level could be identified, such as the lack of programs of an educational, social and emotional nature that would allow older adults, a population highly affected by this pandemic, to continue with their lives adopting the necessary actions, through these projects, to maintain a great quality of life and to provide tools to keep this quality the same level or better. The “Gerontological recreation project to promote the quality of life of older adults in an AGECO virtual participation group in the framework of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic" was created in response to these needs presented, to achieve a promoting an improvement in the quality of life of participating older adults. This project had ten older adults as participants, who had been part of other AGECO projects, they had to be able to use mobile devices and have knowledge about virtual activities; The level of independence and autonomy was also important because of the nature of the activities to do at every session. The results obtained at the diagnosis phase reflected the need of the participants to know diverse types of recreation, adapted to the reality and the context of the pandemic; Additionally, the opportunity to maintain interpersonal relationships in times of isolation. As conclusion of the project, the importance of the contributions Gerontology could give to treat the needs detected, to design and to develop an education project about how to improve quality of life in the context on the pandemic is very highly.
