The question is posed as to whether bodies or systems in the Universe (i.e., cosmic string) may be representable by this metric.En el presente trabajo, se demuestra un teorema sobre de la imposibilidad de encontrar soluciones que sean asintóticamente planas,-dentro del marco de la Teoría General de la Relatividad (T.G.R)-, en espacios con simetría cilíndrico-estática y, cuyo tensor métrico depende solamente de una coordenada.
