O presente artigo tem como objetivo realizar uma descrição do programa do governo federal denominado “Bolsa-Atleta”. As fontes utilizadas nas análises foram as listagens dos atletas contemplados disponibilizadas no site do Ministério do Esporte, delimitando o estudo entre os anos de 2005 a 2014. Destas foram utilizadas nas análises somente as informações referentes às modalidades paralímpicas, totalizando um número de 7815 bolsas concedidas. A título de conclusão, a pesquisa aponta que o “Bolsa-Atleta”, prioriza os esportistas com desempenho mais elevado, os do sexo masculino e os das regiões mais desenvolvidas economicamente.
This article aims to make a description of an important federal program of development of Brazilian sport called "Bolsa-Atleta". Therefore, the source used in the analysis were the lists of contemplated athletes, available at the Sports Ministry's website, outlining the studies between the years 2005-2014. From these lists, only the information related to Paralympic modalities was used, with a total number of 7815 grants. In conclusion, the research shows that the "Bolsa-Atleta" prioritizes athletes with higher performance, males and those that represent the most economically developed regions.
