Abstract
In the study carried out on the main routes of the cantonal road network of Carrillo in 2010, it is contemplate the diagnosis of the road network, the identification and characterization of homogeneous sections, with the aim of finding and applying solutions to road sections with similar deterioration conditions, This report details the analysis of approximately 12 km, corresponding to the locality of Filadelfia. The homogeneous sections generated were later analyzed by different parameters such as deflectometry, IRI (International Roughness Index) and Damage Index (VIZIR), among others. The analysis of the average deflectometry data for each section indicated that 54% of the homogeneous sections (7.1 km) have a significant damage condition, while 2.4 km have a good structural condition. Regarding the average IRI values was determined that only one evaluated section has an IRI lower than 3.6 m / km, in addition 68% of the sections (6.5 km) which present a significant irregularity (IRI greater than 6.4 M / km). One of the most important products included in this analysis is the proposal of the type of general intervention (maintenance, structural reinforcement or reconstruction) based on the current state of each homogeneous section. The information contained in this report is a useful tool for an efficient and effective management of the resources available to the municipality for the maintenance and improvement of the road network it manages.
