Abstract
La Ruta Nacional 613, específicamente el tramo comprendido entre las poblaciones de Sabalito y Las Mellizas, fue sujeto a actividades de mejoramiento entre los años 2009 y 2010, para una inversión de 6.500 millones de colones. Según datos del MOPT, el TPDA de la ruta es de menos de 400 vehículos. En cumplimiento de los mandatos de la Ley 8114, funcionarios de la UGERVN del PITRA-LanammeUCR realizaron, a mediados de febrero del presente año, una visita al tramo para evaluar el estado actual de la ruta. Se detectaron problemas de deterioro de la superficie de ruedo, fallas en terraplenes, mal estado de la señalización horizontal y vertical, así como de los guardavías y cunetas. Este informe resume algunos aspectos importantes, mostrando imágenes de lo visto en dicha gira.

According to MOPT data, the AADT of the route is less than 400 vehicles. In compliance with the mandates of Law 8114, officials of the UGERVN of PITRA-LanammeUCR conducted, in mid-February of this year, a visit to the section to assess the current status of the route. Deterioration problems in the wearing surface were detected, faults in embankments, bad state of the horizontal and vertical road signs, as well as of the crash barriers and gutters. This report summarizes some important aspects, showing images of what was seen on that tour.
