dc.description.abstractIn this paper, a theorem id demostrated regarding the imposibility of the existence od asymptotically plane solutions in spaces with static cylindrycal symmetry, in the framework of the General Theory of Relativity, if the metric is just a function of one coordinate. The question is posed as to whether bodies or systems in the Universe (i.e., cosmic string) may be representable by this metric.
dc.description.abstractEn el presente trabajo, se demuestra un teorema sobre de la imposibilidad de encontrar soluciones que sean asintóticamente planas,-dentro del marco de la Teoría General de la Relatividad (T.G.R)-, en espacios con simetría cilíndrico-estática y, cuyo tensor métrico depende solamente de una coordenada. Se discute la factibilidad de cuerpos en el Universo, por ejemplo cuerdas cósmicas, representados con dicha métrica.
