Abstract
El siguiente informe pretende determinar las causas de la falla en el pavimento ubicado en el tramo Limonal-Tempisque donde en la primera parte se colocó cemente hidráulico y en la segunda cemento asfaltico.
Se determina que el agrietamiento longitudinal presente se debe a problemas geotécnicos debido a material con alto potencial expansivo en las capas de apoyo del pavimento.
Se recomienda el estudio de la alternativa de estabilización química y la reducción de cambios de humedad en el suelo activo por medio de sub-drenajes.
The following report intends to determine the causes of the pavement failure located in the Limonal-Tempisque section where in the first part it was placed hydraulic cement and in the second asphalt cement. It is determined that the longitudinal cracking is attributable to geotechnical problems caused by material with high expansive potential in the pavement support layers. It is recommended to study two alternatives: the chemical stabilization and the reduction of humidity changes in the active soil by using of sub-drainages.
