Abstract
El estado de deterioro del puente es considerado crítico por la excesiva socavación observada en las fundaciones de ambos bastiones y de la pila central, además de la pérdida del aletón del bastión-Norte. Este daño representa un peligro a la integridad estructural del puente y por lo tanto se requiere de una inmediata intervención.
Se recomienda buscar la asistencia de la dirección de puentes del MOPT o contratar los servicios de un profesional calificado con conocimiento de puentes para definir, diseñar e inspeccionar las soluciones a ejecutar.
Se recomienda a la unidad técnica municipal informarse del año de diseño del puente y de su carga viva de diseño (peso del camión de diseño). Para ello se requiere localizar los planos de diseño y construcción y las memorias de cálculo del puente y resguardarlos en un lugar seguro preferiblemente en formato digital. Adicionalmente, se sugiere llevar un registro de las todas inspecciones y del mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo realizados o a realizar en este puente.
Es necesario mencionar que la falta de mantenimiento en puentes conlleva en un deterioro acelerado de la estructura y por lo tanto una reducción en su vida útil. Esto implica un aumento en los costos de mantenimiento debido a la necesidad de incurrir en costos adicionales por reparaciones que no hubieran sido requeridas si el mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo se hubiera realizado en su debido momento.
The state of deterioration of the bridge is considered critical by the excessive scouring observed in the foundations of both bastions and the central pile, in addition to the loss of the northern bastion. This damage represents a danger to the structural integrity of the bridge and therefore requires immediate intervention. It is recommended to seek the assistance of the bridge management of the MOPT or hire the services of a qualified professional with knowledge of bridges to define, design and inspect the solutions to be executed. It is recommended that the municipal technical unit be informed of the design year of the bridge and its design live load (weight of the design truck). To do this, it is necessary to locate the design and construction drawings and the calculation memories of the bridge and safeguard them in a safe place preferably in digital format. Additionally, it is suggested to keep a record of all inspections and preventive and corrective maintenance performed or to be performed on this bridge. It is necessary to mention that the lack of maintenance on bridges leads to an accelerated deterioration of the structure and therefore a reduction in its useful life. This implies an increase in maintenance costs due to the need to incur additional costs for repairs that would not have been required if the preventive and corrective maintenance had been carried out in due time.
