lliustrated keys are provided 10 the four families and 49 genera of the insect suborder Terebrantia (Thysanoptera) known from Central America, with emphasis on Panama and Costa Rica. Brief notes are given on the biology of the species of each genus, sorne of which can be serious pests in agriculture and horticulture.
