Informe final: Evaluación de la susceptibilidad de Deslizamientos de la Ruta Nacional No.2 carretera Interamericana Sur tramo San Isidro de Cartago - San Isidro Pérez Zeledón

Abstract

El presente informe tiene como objetivo la determinación del perfil de vulnerabilidad potencial ante deslizamientos de la Ruta Nacional 2, segmento San Isidro del Guarco – San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón, para ayudar a la toma de decisiones sobre inversión en el mejoramiento de la infraestructura y la reducción del riesgo existente. Para poder alcanzar este objetivo, se recopiló información sobre deslizamientos que han afectado históricamente a esta ruta, se evaluaron las características de severidad de los deslizamientos para determinar el perfil de exposición de la infraestructura, se determinó el perfil de vulnerabilidad potencial de la ruta y se propuso un plan de reducción de la vulnerabilidad. Cabe destacar que no se realizaron pruebas de laboratorio, ya que, el análisis de la información se realizó principalmente por medio de Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG), específicamente el ArcView.The objective of this report is to determine the profile of potential vulnerability to landslides on National Route 2, in the San Isidro del Guarco - San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón segment, to help decision-making on investment in improving infrastructure and reduction of existing risk. In order to achieve this objective, information was collected on landslides that have historically affected this route, the severity characteristics of the landslides were evaluated to determine the exposure profile of the infrastructure, the potential vulnerability profile of the route was determined, and a vulnerability reduction plan was proposed. It should be noted that no laboratory tests were carried out, since the analysis of the information was mainly done through Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically the ArcView.
