Evaluación del estado de las Rutas Nacionales 204 y 211, tramo Zapote – San Francisco – La Colina

Abstract

Los tramos Zapote – San Francisco y San Francisco – La Colina, pertenecen respectivamente a las rutas nacionales 204 y 211, y son de los pocos tramos de la Red Vial Nacional con la calzada construida en pavimento rígido. Para proteger la alta inversión realizada durante la construcción de un tramo de esta naturaleza, es de esperarse un plan de mantenimiento que garantice niveles de servicio óptimos; sin embargo, en los últimos años la UGERVN ha preparado informes donde se señalan deficiencias que, si bien no afectan su operación actual, a la larga pueden provocar problemas mayores que incluso requerirán sacar de operación este tramo, para realizar los debidos arreglos. Con base en la visita realizada este año y el nivel de problemas encontrado, se decidió calcular el Índice de Condición PCI para esta ruta, para que la administración cuente con un valor de referencia, y planificar las actividades de mantenimiento que ayuden a conservar tanto los niveles de servicio, como la inversión realizada.The sections Zapote - San Francisco and San Francisco - La Colina, belong respectively to national routes 204 and 211, and are of the few sections of the National Road Network with the roadway built on rigid pavement. To protect the high investment made during the construction of a segment of this nature, it is expected a maintenance plan that guarantees optimal service levels. However, in recent years the UGERVN has prepared reports indicating deficiencies that, although they do not affect its current operation, may eventually cause major problems that will even require the operation to be removed from this section, in order to carry out the necessary repairs. Based on the visit made this year and the level of problems found, it was decided to calculate the PCI Condition Index for this route, so that the administration has a reference value, and to plan the maintenance activities that help to conserve both the service levels, such as the investment made.
