Abstract
El artículo presenta el origen histórico, académico y teórico del proyecto TCU 558 “Laboratorio Pedagógico para mejorar la enseñanza pública en la región de influencia de la Sede del Atlántico” como medida efectiva para brindar una solución a las necesidades y debilidades encontradas en las instituciones de educación pública de la zona (Turrialba, Paraíso, Pococí y algunos de sus distritos). El documento presenta todos aquellos aspectos que caracterizan a este proyecto, tales como sus objetivos generales y específicos, así como las diversas formas en las que el mismo ha ayudado a remediar las necesidades encontradas especialmente con respecto a material didáctico, asistencia a docentes, charlas, cursos, conferencias y talleres de capacitación y recuperación. El artículo compila algunas opiniones e informes resumidos de docentes y estudiantes de TCU que han tenido participación real con el proyecto y que resaltan los principales logros del mismo. Finalmente, se presentan algunas de las limitaciones del proyecto, las cuales una vez superadas, permitirán los cambios oportunos que permitan un mayor impacto en la comunidad involucrada.
The article talks about the historical, academic and theoretical origin of the proyect TCU 558 “Pedagogic laboratory to better the public teaching in the region of the Atlantic Branch of the University of Costa Rica” as an effective measure to give solution to needs and weaknesses found in some educational public institutions of the zone (Turrialba, Paraíso, Pococí and some of their districts). This document presents aspectsrelated to this proyect such as general and specific objectives as well as the diverse ways this proyect has helped to solve the needs found in didactic material specially, assistance to educators, lectures, courses, workshops of training and extra help to students whose scores are low in specific subjects. At the same time, the article compiles some opinions or summarized reports of active participants of this project such as educators and students who show the main achievements of it . Finally, some limitations of the project are also mentioned so that after overcoming them, they will permit several and necessary changes to reach a bigger impact in the zone involved.
