Abstract
Quality of the stabilized base material placed in the project: The results of compressive strength of the samples tested from stabilized base BE-25 by LanammeUCR and the Quality Department of CONAVI are generally set higher than average established in the CR-77, in the first case the average value is 48.8 kg / cm2 and in the second 46.0 kg / cm2, so the average values are greater at approximately 19 km / cm2 and 16 kg / cm2, respectively. As in the case of LanammeUCR, the quality control laboratory reported that most of the data is above the specified average, with an average of 45.4 kg / cm2 for the group of data under study resulting in an increase of almost 15.4 kg / cm2 in the required average resistance. Construction procedures and practices: During the visits to the project, the deterioration on the printed surface of the base stabilized with cement was evident, which can cause problems in the functional and structural pavement performance. When analyzing 26 cores extracted by the LanammeUCR, it was shown that approximately in 23% of the specimens the stabilized base layer separated from the asphalt mixture. On the other hand, when measuring thickness of asphalt layer to specimens analyzed, it was found that 73% of these had lower values than the specified value of 75mm, which could lead into damage to be formed faster than expected as this thickness was designed to provide the necessary capacity and strength to the pavement structure to withstand the stresses of transit (TPD) and should withstand weather conditions during its lifetime. Percentage of voids in the asphalt mixture: From a statistical analysis of the data presented by the LanammeUCR and I.T.P was evident that the analyzed percentage of voids for the project is within the specified range. International Roughness Index: Although this is not a parameter of the poster of public tender towards continuous improvement of IRI measurement was performed using the specification CR-2010, which was not fulfilled in the project under study for any of the specified values.
