The Teaching of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a method of teaching the English language aimed at providing a more specialized education, generally to university students or employees, with the goal of enhancing specific language skills relevant to their careers. This research project has designed a virtual course for employees at Bill Gosling Outsourcing Costa Rica. The focus of this course is to enhance language skills such as writing and oral expression in the English language while not neglecting reading and listening practice. This course follows the methodology of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT). Initially, a research process was conducted to identify the English language deficiencies, weaknesses, needs, and preferences of the students through interviews and a diagnostic test. Based on the collected information, a three-unit course was designed to provide practices, strategies, and information that would enable students to more effectively perform their job-related tasks in the English language. Subsequently, a literature review was conducted to identify the most effective teaching practices for instructing students in their oral production during the learning process. Several teaching strategies were included in the course to evaluate which one was the most effective in instructing students in their oral production. Therefore, through observations, questionnaires, and feedback from supervisors based on their teaching experience, an analysis process was initiated to determine which practices benefitted the population the most. Explicit corrective feedback was one of the practices that facilitated immediate error correction by the student in their oral production. Considering the different stages of the lesson, some strategies were more beneficial than others. Positive feedback practices were necessary to motivate students, who reacted positively to being recognized for their achievements and efforts.
