Abstract
Para el conjunto de intersecciones analizadas en este estudio, se determinaron condiciones muy generalizadas de descuido en el mantenimiento del señalamiento respectivo, tanto vertical como horizontal, al igual que la ausencia de infraestructura vial complementaria, tal como islas canalizadoras, carriles de cambio de velocidad, todo lo cual incide negativamente en los elementos de seguridad vial asociados al flujo de vehículos. Tal vez la única excepción es la intersección de San Luis de Santo Domingo, ya que esta presenta mejores condiciones de operación que las otras intersecciones analizadas, no obstante siempre presenta algunas carencias citadas en el apartado correspondiente a este intersección.
También es notaria la carencia de facilidades peatonales en la mayoría de intersecciones analizadas, lo que representa una condición grave, ya que en casi todas las intersecciones se ubican paradas de autobús en sus cercanías, provocando con ello un tránsito importante de peatones.
For the set of intersections analyzed in this study, very generalized conditions of carelessness were determined in the maintenance of the respective signaling, both vertical and horizontal, as well as the absence of complementary road infrastructure, such as channeling islands, speed change lanes, all of which negatively affects the elements of road safety associated with the flow of vehicles. Perhaps the only exception is the intersection of San Luis de Santo Domingo, this one has better operating conditions than the other intersections analyzed, however, it always presents some deficiencies cited in the section corresponding to this intersection. The lack of pedestrian facilities in most of the intersections analyzed will also be noted, which represents a serious condition, since bus stops are located nearby, in all of the intersections, causing significant pedestrian traffic.
