Primer informe sobre la presencia de dos protofilas por nudo en plántulas de tacaco (Sechium tacaco), en Costa Rica

Abstract

Se realizaron observaciones en las protofilas de cinco plántulas de tacaco (Sechium tacaco), en Ochomogo de Cartago, Costa Rica, con el fin de estudiar la morfología de las hojas; en dos de las plántulas se encontró dos protofilas en un mismo nudo. En la presente investigación, se informa por primera vez sobre la existencia de dos protofilas por nudo en plántulas de tacaco, lo que representa un hallazgo científico en esta especie.

Observations were made on the protophylls of five tacaco (Sechium tacaco) seedlings, in Ochomogo de Cartago, Costa Rica, in order to study the morphology of the leaves; in two of the seedlings, two protophylls were found in the same node. In the present investigation, we report for the first time the existence of two protophylls per node in tacaco seedlings, which represents a scientific finding in this species.
