La construcción de imaginarios sociales a partir del Nihonshoki: el período Asuka tardío e inicios de Nara (672-720)

Abstract

El presente trabajo parte del siguiente objetivo general: Ana­lizar el Nihonshoki como producto de su época —cuando fue encar­gada su realización por el emperador Tenmu (672-686) y finalizado en el año 720— con el fin de comparar su función en la construcción de un imaginario social que cohesionara el Japón de aquel momento. De esta manera, se considera el posible fin que tuvo originalmente el texto en cuestión, para legitimar la casa imperial y que no fuera cuestionada la llegada al poder de Tenmu posterior a la Guerra de Jinshin, tratando de evidenciar con el texto el origen divino de todos los emperadores y empe-ratrices hasta el momento, así como insertándose dentro de este linaje el propio Tenmu.

This work is based on the following general objective: To analyze the Nihonshoki as a product of its time, when it was commissio­ned by Emperor Tenmu (672­686) and completed in the year 720, with the aim of comparing its function in construction of a social imaginary that would unify Japan at that moment. In this way, the possible end that the text originally had is considered, which was to legitimize the imperial house and that the rise to power of Tenmu was not questioned after the Jinshin War. The text demonstrates the divine origin of all the emperors and empresses up to that point, while also inserting Tenmu himself into this lineage.
