Mythology. Case report on the application of the Nursing Process, consisting of 5 stages: assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, execution and evaluation, supported by the theoretical model of Marjory Gordon's functional patterns and the application of the taxonomies of Nursing. Results. The main diagnoses defined in the intervention were: [00177] Stress due to overload and [00198] Altered sleep pattern. Through the use of the scales (Likert) it was found that the user showed improvement in her health conditions after the intervention. Conclusion. The surgical nurse must be subject to continuous assessment and evaluation by professionals in the area of mental health, due to their exposure denoted not only in the studies shown but also in the user of the case report, to unfavorable environmental and work factors.
