Abstract
It is impossible and impracticable to separate health problems from their environmental causes. Thus, a quick glance at the present world distribution of famine and of severe and chronic malnutrition reveals a concentration in the tropics and subtropics.(1) Undoubtedly, negative factors exist in tropical regions that make it more difficult for man to attain an adequate level of nutrition and development
