Abstract
A trial was conduct d at the Fabio Baudrit Experimental Sub-station in Fraijanes, Alajuela, Costa Rica, at an altitude of 1650 masl and an average temperature of 16 C. The four strawberry cultivars were: Tioga, Douglas, Aliso and Tufts. They were planted in November 19.81, and harvested from February 1982 through March 1983. There was no significant difference in total yield among the cultivars, although they showed an interaction between monthly yields and cultivars, even when the yield tendency was the same for each one. August 1982 was the highest yielding month, and Douglas produced the largest fruits.
