Este artículo analiza la construcción de la temporada navideña de teatro en el Gran Área Metropolitana de Costa Rica. Dicha temporada surge a partir de la decisión del Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica de presentar el ballet “El Cascanueces y el rey de los ratones”. El efecto que tuvo tal decisión en el paisaje cultura costarricense deviene en iniciativas que consolidan un mercado para el teatro de temporada navideña para la segunda década del siglo XXI. El análisis se realiza mediante el estudio de las actas del Consejo Directivo del Teatro Nacional, periódicos y redes sociales.
This article studies the construction of the Christmas theater season in the Greater Metropolitan Area of Costa Rica. This season arises from the decision of the National Theater of Costa Rica to present the ballet "The Nutcracker and the King of Mice." The effect that such a decision had on the Costa Rican culture landscape became in initiatives that consolidate a market for the Christmas theater season by the second decade of the 21st century. The sources used were the minutes of the National Theater Directing Council, newspapers and social networks.
