Efecto de ácido indol butírico sobre la propagación de tacaco (Sechium tacaco) mediante acodo aéreo

Abstract

Objetivos: evaluar el efecto de diferentes dosis de ácido indol butírico sobre la propagación vegetativa de tacaco (Sechium tacaco) mediante acodos aéreos. Metodología: El ensayo se desarrolló en Fraijanes, Alajuela, en agosto-setiembre de 2017. Se evaluaron tres dosis de ácido indol butírico (200, 600 y 1,800ppm) y un testigo con agua destilada. Se realizaron 10 acodos aéreos por cada tratamiento. Se evaluó el porcentaje de acodos vivos, y la producción de callo y de raíces en cada acodo. Resultados: El porcentaje de acodos vivos osciló entre 80 y 90% para todos los tratamientos. El porcentaje de producción de callo varió entre 44 y 75%. No hubo producción de raíces en ningún tratamiento. Conclusiones: El uso de ácido indol butírico para la reproducción vegetativa del tacaco mediante acodos aéreos, no fue efectivo mediante la metodología ensayada en el presente trabajo.

Three doses of indole-butyric acid (200, 600 and 1,800ppm) and a control with distilled water were evaluated. 10 air layers were performed for each treatment. The percentage of live layers, and the production of callus and roots in each layer, were evaluated. Results: The percentage of live layers ranged between 80 and 90% for all treatments. The percentage of callus production varied between 44 and 75%. There was no root production in any treatment. Conclusions: The use of indole-butyric acid for the vegetative reproduction of tacaco through air layering was not effective using the methodology tested in this work.
