Abstract
Se realizaron mediciones de la concentracióon de radón en el
subsuelo en tres sitios de Costa Rica : San José, Alajuela y Guanacaste. Se
estudia la influencia de la precipitación sobre la concentración de radón y
se realiza un análisis de la exhalación de este hacia la atmófera, basado en
las ecuaciones de tranporte de este gas a través de un medio poroso. Solo la
componente difusiva de la exhalación es tomada en cuenta. Uno de los
lugares presenta un flujo importante, probablemente debido a su cercanía
con un volcán.
Measurements of concentration of radon were made in the subsoil in three sites of Costa Rica: San José, Alajuela and Guanacaste. The influence of the precipitation studies on the concentration of radon and an analysis of the exhalation is made of this towards the atmosphere, based on the equations of tranport of this gas through porous means. Only the difusiva component of the exhalation is taken in consideration. One of the places presents/displays an important flow, probably due to its proximity with a volcano.
