Resumen
En este trabajo se plantea el uso de materiales auténticos como recurso motivador y potenciador de la expresión oral en la enseñanza del español como segunda lengua.
Para alcanzar el objetivo del trabajo, se estudiaron los diversos tipos de materiales auténticos, sus ventajas y cómo incorporarlos en la clase de español como segunda lengua para trabajar la expresión oral. Dicho estudio condujo a la elaboración de cinco unidades didácticas en las cuales se incluyeron diferentes materiales auténticos para promover la expresión oral. Se trabajó con un grupo de seis estudiantes de nivel intermedio, todos provenientes de los Estados Unidos de América.
La ejecución de la práctica supervisada de las clases permitió determinar que es muy sencillo encontrar materiales auténticos en la vida cotidiana; son accesibles, actuales, económicos y hay un amplio número de actividades que se pueden desarrollar con los mismos. Sin embargo, es fundamental que todos los materiales auténticos sean utilizados con una guía que explique su estructura, características y contenido; así se evita por completo el fracaso de su uso. Como material de apoyo, los materiales auténticos acercan al estudiante al idioma que aprende y a una realidad social que los libros de texto no tienen.
This work proposes the use of authentic materials as a motivating and enhancing resource for oral expression in the teaching of Spanish as a second language.
