Abstract
Post-COVID-19 syndrome is a recently-onset entity, defined as the persistence of symptoms 12 weeks after COVID-19 infection. It has a high prevalence, however, its identification continues to be a challenge for health personnel. Among the most frequently reported pulmonary sequelae are fatigue and dyspnea, functional alterations with restrictive patterns and decreased carbon monoxide diffusion capacity, and pulmonary fibrosis. For this reason, multiple investigations are currently being carried out to understand the therapeutic approach that allows relief of said sequelae, as well as an early reincorporation to their activities and improvement in the quality of life of these patients, among which the treatments with inhalers, anti-inflammatories, antihistamines, antivirals and antifibrotics; as well as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs.
